30 Slippers for Christmas... and more.
Activity: CdoKada’s Outreach for the CDO Street Tutorials Alternative Christmas Party
Date and Time: December 28, 2010 ; 7pm
Venue: Magsaysay Park, Divisoria, Cagayan de Oro City
Purpose:
1) To donate slippers for the beneficiaries of the CDO street tutorials.
Karl (@iolak), Roxanne (@littlebrat), and Roie (@r013) went to the market to buy the slippers.

2) To participate in the Alternative Christmas Party program.
Lorraine (@sugarcoated-reality) asked the organizers if we could initiate a game or two for the kids and fortunately, they allowed us.
We played the game “The Boat Is Sinking”. Roxanne started the activity. Lorraine explained the directions. Roie led the game. The rest helped in making sure nobody would get hurt.
We, especially the children, were very participative and enthusiastic in playing. :)
3) To meet new tumblr fellas.
So nice to meet Faith (@alltopersonalbyfaith) and Princess.
4) To bond with CdoKada members. The last get-together for the year 2010.
After participating in the Alternative Christmas Party/Outreach, we went to Penong’s.
Biggest thanks to Fritz (@fritzunlimited) for the treat.
After dinner, we went to Silver Rain for videoke but the place was full so we went to the Rodelsa Circle (at Paseo Del Rio) instead.
Just strolled and took pictures…
…and somebody got a henna tattoo too. :)

Someday, after you swear to yourself you’ve moved on, you’ll remember and miss the person whom you’ve fallen for once. It’s not necessarily because you still love him/her but because you were once good friends and everything was just fine before it had come to a point when everything changed. And then you wish you could take it back to the time before “we” replaced “you” and “me”. Before love hit you like a stray bullet that caught you by surprise and left you with ugly scars. Before you gave it all one chance. Before the best. Before the worst.
You’ll wonder about all the what if’s. You’ll wonder how the other is doing. You’ll wonder if the two of you will ever become friends again. And when you do become friends again, you’ll start reminiscing and longing for those days when you were still together, not because the flame is still there and is still burning as brightly as it did before but because the memories ignited sparks and gave you that warm feeling all over. Then, when you think about everything that happened and everything that’s happening and might happen, you get goosebumps and butterflies. And it’s probably just gonna be a choice of whether you’ll try to give it one more shot and make it work again, or completely ignore the feeling, leave it in the past and try to move on for real.

CDOkada will be taking part in the upcoming mini-outreach program in Magsaysay Park this Dec. 28 at exactly 7pm. We’ll be giving out slippers to the street children and hopefully be able to paint smiles on their faces with those little gifts. :)

Tumblr! CdoKada! : The 3rd CDO tumblr meet-up
Last December 11, 2010, the 3rd CDO tumblr meet up finally happened!! It went almost exactly as planned and as usual, we enjoyed every moment of it. Months of preparation and the participation of those who attended made the 3rd meet up very successful.
To those who did not joined the 3rd CDO tumblr meet-up, these were the things you missed.
1. First and foremost, the FOOD!
No need to elaborate eh? A meet up is a No-no without food.
2. Getting-to-know-you the tumblr way
Isn’t it amazing to know each others’ backgrounds, the stories behind our posts, the creation of our URLs, and the reasons of using tumblr? We did that and so, we gained new friends!!! <3
3. ANON
We get the chance to ask others questions (silly, serious, or what) anonymously… right in front of them. And you even get to hear the answers LIVE! If you still don’t get it, you join us in the next meet-up and you’ll know how we did it.
4. The Major Major Super Duper AMAZING CdoKada Race!!!
It was actually the highlight of the meet-up where we were able to:
a) unleash our energies
b) exercise
c) do the activities cooperatively
d) show team work
e) show sportsmanship
f) have fun!!!!! <3

5. CdoKada Henyo
Because we became so tired with the amazing race, we decided to have a “less physical” game…
…and distracting the “henyo” was also allowed which made the game more fun!
…and because there was a tie, a charade was made to break it!
6. A “more mature” Trip to Jerusalem
We all know how to play the game but we modify it. That was unique!
7. LIKE
It’s plain simple. Place a “heart” on the person you LIKE… just like when you LIKE posts in the tumblr dashboard.
8. Jing Jing Gip
We exchanged FUNNY gifts!!
9. Pictorials
A day with CdoKada will not be complete without our group pictures!!!
